She is the founder of The Sick and Sickening Podcast, where she shares unfiltered stories about living with disability and illness. Roxy's mission is to empower disabled and chronically ill individuals using her fashion background as a stylist as a tool of activism, creating space and pushing for visibility for people from ethnically diverse backgrounds and the LGBTQIA+ community. In addition to her advocacy work, Roxy campaigns for inclusion and equity, calling out the lack of diversity and inclusion within the medical industry, charity sector, and corporate businesses and organisations. G(end)er Swap is a traveling support initiative and an awareness campaign that celebrates and educates on gender diversity through the medium of fashion.
G(end)er Swap advocates for inclusivity within mainstream shopping spaces: gender-neutral facilities, clothing sections and size, and style diversity for all genders.
G(end)er Swap creates spaces for gender non-conforming individuals to access community, clothes and self-care related resources. We work with mainstream retailers to be more gender inclusive and trans friendly.
G(end)er Swap collaborates with various artists, organisations and corporations to deliver requested services to the trans, and wider, LGBTIQ+ community.
Lastly, reducing texstile waste is important to us. G(end)er Swap operates under an environmentally sustainable model that encourages you to swap, thrift or upcyle your clothes (where possible) when building a new wardrobe.
G(end)er Swap wants to support you to BE WHOEVER and to WEAR WHATEVER.
G(end)er Swap is now online, offering bespoke virtual workshops and online resources on LGBTQ style, makeup and wellness across our platforms!
You will find gender inclusive facilities and a range of sizes and styles at our clothing events. Our collaborative workshops are delivered to all ages, genders and abilities. We deliver learning seminars, consultancy and training to allies too.
G(end)er Swap is reliant on donations and therefore we try our best to cater to all requests although this is not always a guarantee.
We work with other grassroots organisations and activists to deliver triage services and to signpost individuals to other well-being resources they may need.
